Abstract

The script of Balochi language started its journey of
th developmet in Roman Script by the orientalists during 18
Century. They conducted researches on the origion of the
Balochi languge, literature and the Baloch. This paper
attempts to put some light on the non-academic researches on
the Balochi poetry by the orientalists and then the local
Baloch researchers, whose aim was not to get any academic
degree by their researches. This paper further dicusses the
recent contribution of various Baloch scholars and the role
played by the various Balochi journals and magazines.
