Abstract

The progressive movement is a prominent literary movement in the history of modern literature. This has influenced the entire world, particularly South Asia, where Balochistan is located. This paper discusses the introduction of progressive movement, its origin and influence on literature. The keynote of progressive movement is to bring up constructive criticism in the field of art, culture, literature, politics, philosophy, and other disciplines of social sciences. This research is to dig out the fertile ideas on the journey of the progressive movement in literature. There are several pieces of literary work on the progressive movement, also in Pakistan's major local language such as Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashtu, and Saraiki, etc. This research study focuses on the evolution and development of progressive movement and its impacts on literature.
